It's a dogs life.......... and I like it!
The only thing better than walking the hills with my camera is walking the hills with my camera and my dogs and my wife of course. I have shared most of my life with dogs and when it comes to dog portraits I have not been beaten bitten a few times but never beaten.
With studio portraits I work alone with my subjects which means their owners have to sit next door listening to the barks, squeals and shouts and that's just me! Just some of the results of which you can see above. As you can see group portraits are not a problem. Family groups can involve a combination of many dogs and people. My secret is that I do not photograph them together but separately, combining the best results electronically I defy you to see the joins.
